Donald C. Gabbard, Sr., of Eau Gallie, died March 9th at the age of 80. He was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky to
Charles and Gertrude Gabbard. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. After 30 years of service, he retired from Bell South. He served in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1957.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ellen; Children Don, Coleen (Jeff), Dan, Katie (Jim), Mary (Duane), Robert (Monica), and daughter-in-law Terry Gabbard; Grandchildren Jennifer (Max), Matthew (Tina), Don III, Jamee, Jake, Courtney (Bryan), Jordan and Justin; Great Grandchildren Chris, Sasha, Lily and Haleigh.
One of his favorite things to do was cooking Sunday dinner for the entire family each week and having them all together.
There will be an informal service on Thursday, March 12, at 11:00 a.m. at Davis-Seawinds Funeral Home, 360 Montreal Avenue, Melbourne, Florida 32905. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in Don's honor.
