Donald C. Freund, 82, of Melbourne, Florida passed away July 29, 2015.

He was born June 18, 1933 in McHenry, IL to the late Anthony P. and Margaret Freund and had been a resident of Melbourne for 24 years coming from Crystal Lake, IL.

Don graduated from the University of Notre Dame and then served in the United States Navy. He worked as a Certified Public Accountant until his retirement in 1991.

Don was a devout Catholic and member of Ascension Catholic Church. He was a volunteer at Ascension Manor and also served as a former President. While residing in Crystal Lake, he was a member of Rotary International.

Don loved his wife and family immensely. He leaves his memories to be cherished by his wife of 60 years, Joan; daughter, Cindy Ingleby of Iowa; son, Don Freund Jr. of Wisconsin; daughter, Sharon Annen of St. Louis; grandchildren, Matt Ingleby, Katie Ingleby, Steve Ingleby, Sara Windhorst, Michael Freund, Anna Freund, Bradley Annen and Jessica Annen. He is also survived by 4 sisters all of Illinois and predeceased by 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

Family will receive friends from 10:30 - 11 am, Monday August 3, 2015 at Ascension Catholic Church followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am.
