Diane Maria Spinosa of Melbourne Beach, Florida passed away on June 1, 2017 after a short bout with cancer. She was 75 years old.
Diane is survived by her loving husband Larry and her three children Rick Villani of Austin and his wife Carrie Villani, Tony Villani of Austin, and Susan Presnell of Austin and her husband Kent Presnell.
In addition to her natural family in Texas, Diane had four married stepchildren in Florida: Janette Mackesy and her husband Steve, Angela Wukasch and her husband Rob, David Spinosa and his wife Kari, Joey Spinosa and his wife Heather.
Her surviving 13 grandchildren who knew Diane affectionately as their "Nana" include: Emily Villani, Jack Villani, Anne Villani, Jack Presnell, Charlie Presnell, Nick O'Connor, Joly Wukasch, Lydia Spinosa, Elizabeth Spinosa, Armand Spinosa, Samantha Spinosa, Christian Spinosa and Lilly Spinosa.
Diane was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey on May 3rd, 1942. As a young adult she lived in Seaside Park, New Jersey (the Jersey Shore) then moved to Melbourne Beach, Florida at the age of 40.
Throughout her life Diane was devoted to serving othersvolunteering on various boards, councils and organizations. She was active in her church and had a rich spiritual life. Diane was energetic, immensely creative and had many talents and accomplishmentsher best, she would say, were her three children.
Diane's best friend and the love of her life was Larry. They met in their mid-forties, built a business together, played golf, devoted themselves to their spiritual community and traveled extensively together.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday July 8th at 11:00am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Melbourne Beach. Interment will follow immediately in the Parish Garden, followed by a reception in the Parish Hall.
