Obituary

Deborah "Debbie" A. Rodgers, 68 passed away on Wednesday February 4, 2021 after a brief hospitalization.
She was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Jean Lewis and the late Robert Marvin. She graduated from Parma Senior High School. She was married to Dan Rodgers. They married in January 1981.
Debbie has an extensive career in the radio and television industry primarily in Cleveland and Akron, Ohio and Fort Wayne, Indiana where she met her husband. She decided to enlist in the U.S. Air Force and went to basic training in September 1979. She was the executive assistant to the 7th Combat Support Group commander, Carswell Air Force Base, Texas until her discharge in 1983. She resumed her TV career in Omaha, Nebraska. She relocated to Florida with her husband and son in 1991. She was a dedicated employee for the State of Florida. Her final position before retirement was in the business office at the Florida Solar Energy Center. She retired in 2016.
Debbie is survived by her son, Jay; her mother Jean Lewis; sisters Jeanne Desmone and Carin Bryden of Parma, Ohio. She also leaves nieces Lindsey Marvin, Rachael Desmone Devine Sarah Desmone Droz and Nikki Desmone Maglic. She was a proud great aunt to Christian Maglic and Addison Knox.
Services will be announced shortly. A celebration of life will take place in the spring. Burial will be at the National cemetery in Scottsmoor, Florida in the future.
