Darryl
Jennings
September 3, 1963 – April 17, 2026
Howard E. Futch Memorial Park at Paradise Beach
Starts at 12:00 pm (Eastern time)
Darryl Jennings, 62, of Melbourne, Florida, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 17, 2026. Darryl was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida and moved to Melbourne, Florida in 2013. Darryl was an ordained man of God who lived his faith through service. Though not a preacher, his life preached a steady sermon of love, hard work, and devotion to family.
He was a master craftsman in carpentry and a talented granite designer, building kitchens, churches, and homes across Florida that will stand for generations. He was employed with Stonecrafters since 2014. He believed if something was worth building, it was worth building right — and building to serve others.
Above all, Darryl was a provider of many. If you needed help, he showed up with his truck, his tools, and his time. He never kept score. His greatest joy came from his family and his lifetime partner, Carol Dill. Together they raised Carol’s children, C.J. & Emily Dill, Tony Stewart, Emily Stewart, and Ricky Stewart, who Darryl loved as his own.
He was a beloved father to his daughters, Rachel Jennings and Renee Nenstiel and her husband Matthew Nenstiel. He was “Papa” to his grandchildren: Icsis Kiara, Emily Nenstiel, and Logan Nenstiel. He was a devoted brother to Les Jennings, Duane Jennings, Timothy Jennings, Stephanie Graff and her husband Donnie Graff, and to his sister Vera Becker. He was loved by many nieces and nephews who will miss their uncle’s guidance, humor, and open door. Darryl was preceded in death by his mother, Lenora Minshew; his father, David Jennings; and his sister, Teresa Presnell.
Darryl’s faith was evident in quiet ways: repairing homes after hurricanes, mentoring young craftsmen in his shop, pausing work to pray with a hurting friend, and filling his table with food, laughter, and wisdom. He had many friends and considered all of them family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 12 noon at Howard E. Futch Memorial Park at Paradise Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Darryl by helping a neighbor, supporting a local church, or doing good work for someone who can’t repay you — just as he did. Darryl’s hands crafted granite that will last a lifetime, but his impact will last longer. He worked hard and prayed often. He kept the faith, and he leaves behind a legacy of service that points us all to the true Cornerstone.“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
