Obituary

Born Danielle Marie Mary Harthon on July 20, 1989 to father Larry Allen Harthon and mother Sarah Jane Lamb of Melbourne, FL.  She had golden blonde hair and crazy beautiful big blue eyes that always carried a mischievous twinkle and a smile to match.  At 5'2", her pint sized little frame was no indicator to the firecracker that was her personality.  Danielle did not care if you were 4 feet or 7 feet tall, she didn't notice race or creed and if she had a problem with you, you were going to hear about it.  Headstrong and strong-willed, she made her own way, she did her own thing, and she always did it her way.  If you were lucky enough to be counted as one of her people, she was your warrior.  She was "Little" big sister to sisters Kimberly and Brittany and their "Big" little brother Eric.  They experienced rivalry like all siblings, but if it ever came down to one of them against any "outsider", she would have been right there to defend, even if she had to stand on a chair to do it.

At the age of 22, Danielle took on a new name, the most important one of all.  On May 14, 2012, she gave birth to her son Hunter James Ross Harthon.  Danielle was now "Mommy" to a beautiful little boy with eyes as blue as her own.  Hunter shows himself everyday to be cut from the same cloth as his mother, a warrior.  Their life together was not made of fairy tales, but with the help of family and friends that supported and loved them both, they fought on.

After too many years and too many battles, Danielle fought her final fight.  On June 8, 2021 she passed on into the hands of God and the wings of angels.  Even still, and unbeknownst to her loved ones, Danielle had one last battle to fight, one last gift to give before she could go, the gift of hope.  On June 10, Danielle was wheeled down the hospital corridor.  Her favorite song "Giddy On Up" playing in the background, her father walking by her side, flanked on either side by the donor team of nurses and doctors to the "OR" where she gave the last she had to give.  Five families received the call that day, their prayers had been answered.  She donated her liver, both kidneys, both lungs and her warrior's heart.  Prayers for the families that Danielle's final and most important gifts be successfully received, and that they and their loved ones continue on to love each other and be each other's warriors for many years to come.

This next part really goes without saying but still needs to be said.

We will miss and love you always.  We will all take care of each other and most importantly your son.  We will never stop letting him know his "Mommy" through photos, videos and stories.  So rest easy now Baby Girl, we got this.
