Colleen Neomah Downs, 89, of Rockledge, FL died Thursday, September 13, 2018 after a prolonged battle with Alzheimer's.
She was born to the late Bruce and Blanche LaFrance on December 2, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan. She was married to Richard Cogan from 1949 where they lived in Detroit until he died in 1963 from a WWII disability. She then married Jerome Sheridan in 1964 relocating to Howell, Michigan in 1964 until they divorced in 1970. She then married Eugene Downs in 1971 and relocated to Lantana, Florida in 1972 and to Melbourne, Florida in 2002 until Eugene died in 2011.
She is survived by her children Richard (Barbara) Cogan Jr. of Melbourne, Florida, Denise Cogan of Dunnellon, Florida, Jerimy Sheridan of Greenville, South Carolina and Lee Sheridan of Easley, South Carolina. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
