Clay Hardy Mooring's Obituary
Clay Hardy Mooring, 80, of Melbourne, Florida passed away August 15, 2015 at William Childs Hospice House.
He was born June 13, 1935 in Greene County, NC to the late Henry Clay and Mamie Mooring.
Mr. Mooring was a veteran of the United State Air Force. Following his honorable discharge, he moved to Melbourne, Florida. He began working as a mechanic at the 76 Station and later retired from South Babcock Motors in 1997.
Clay spent his retirement playing pool and maintaining his garden.
He is survived by his children, Michele (David) Cash, Chris Mooring and Tammy Mooring, all of Melbourne; grandchildren, Jenni Cash, Daniel (Joni) Cash, Robin Cash and Bobbi Jo Queen; great-grandchildren, Johnathan Hanania and Jimmy Lowe. He was predeceased by his wife, Iris Mooring; daughter, Mamie Mooring; brother, Warren Mooring and sister, Jane Mooring.
A Celebration of Clay's Life will be held at a later date.
