Clark Hubert
Hurd
February 22, 1924 – January 10, 2023
Clark Hubert Hurd , 98, died peacefully at St. Francis Reflections on January 10, 2023.

He served in the US Navy from 1942-1946. He was married on April 14. 1984 to his beloved wife Sheila E. Hurd.
Clark moved to Brevard County in 1950 and lived on Desoto Beach while teaching and coaching at Titusville High. He then spent the next forty years working in the space program as a mathematician and engineer. He received various honors, love and respect from his co-workers at RCA, Lockheed, Morton Thiokol and NASA, During the 60's and 70's he was a coach and referee for baseball, softball and basketball leagues in the area. After his retirement he loved playing golf and working in his yard.
He had a beautiful voice and sang in various choirs and at the Surfside Playhouse. For the last 35 years he has lived in the same house in Melbourne surrounded by a "family" of neighbors who loved him for his pleasant and friendly nature.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Jayne Hurd, his son Clark Hurd, stepson David Velez and grandson Matthew Merrill. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sheila E. Hurd, daughters Lu Moore(Mike), Ellen Hubbard (Ken) step daughter Jane Velez and 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Clark was a loving and wonderful husband and father, never forgetting to say "I love you". We all learned so much from him. He was known for his even temper, kind and cheerful spirit. Always the gentleman with a smile on his face and wearing one of his many hats. We are grateful for the many years we had with him but will miss him dearly.
There will be a private military honors service for Clark and anyone wishing to send the family a message or share a story is asked to visit Clark's memorial page at www.Davisseawinds.com
