Christine Marie Morrell (70)

Born on November 27th, 1950 in Newark, New Jersey, Chris moved to Florida in 1976 to be with family.

She leaves behind her daughter Melanie McLean, brother Steven Berntson, grandchildren Nicholas Ekstrom, Brianna McLean, Brooke McLean and Ryan Ekstrom-O'Cleary.  And, Great Granddaughter Olivia Kelley who was her pride and joy.  She was predeceased by her daughter Lisa Ekstrom in 2019.

Her career was as interesting and remarkable as Chris herself.  From business owner of the infamous Dino's Lounge in Cocoa Beach visited by many and remembered as the premier jazz club on the east coast.  Too, was her ownership of the CocaCabana restaurant and Nightclub another icon in our area.  Her later career years were focused on property management administration.

Chris was a very caring, kind, giving, and loving person.  Everyone that knew her, loved her and knew they had a friend in her.  Her smile and laugh was infectious and unforgettable.  Her beauty was undeniable.

Beautiful from the inside and out, a free spirit who was very passionate about the things she loved.  Her favorite color was purple, she loved butterflies, dolphins, animals, sunsets, car rides, astrology, the Space Program and people.   But most of all she loved her family with every ounce of her being.  She was an extraordinary woman who left us way too soon and will forever be missed.  RIP Sweet Momma
