Weber
February 15, 1929 – November 30, 2020
Charles "Charlie" Weber Jr, 91 of Melbourne, FL, died Monday November 30, 2020 after a long illness.
He was born to the late Charles and Ida Weber on February 15, 1929 in Old Bridge, NJ. Charles graduated from South River High School in 1947, where he championed his love of football, holding the position of quarterback for the team. He was so proud of the name the team gave him - "THE BULL". He married the love of his life, Viola Giordano in 1955 and they lived in the historic section of East Brunswick until he retired in 1995. They relocated to Colorado where they would spend the next 20 years living in the Rocky Mountain state. They relocated to Florida in 2013.
Charlie and his father built their local business in Old Bridge, which started out as an oil and coal delivery service in the 40'S. From there "Circle Hardware" also known as 'Weber's Store' evolved in the 50'S. When they sold the business in the late 70'S he then went to work for Anhueser Busch until retirement.
Charlie and Viola loved to Travel – They spent their early retirement years sight seeing the continental United States, visiting over 100 National Parks throughout the country. They also took 3 excursions to Bermuda – Viola's favorite destination. Charlie loved all sports with baseball and football at the top of his list. Win or lose, he was a die hard Yankee fan all of his life.
Family who has preceded Charles are his father, Charles Sr. and mother Ida Weber, daughter, Sandra Weber-Zitkus, and sisters Victoria Burlew and her husband Clarence, and Ruth Green and her husband Melvin.
