Charles S. Elder, Jr., 83, departed this life peacefully and graciously entered into the open arms of his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 18, 2014. A native of Florida, Chuck was born in Melbourne on January 13, 1931 to the late Charles and Nona Grantham - Elder. He retired in 1988 following 38 years with FP&L. Chuck relished the golden years, spending most of his time fishing and traveling the world with his beloved wife, Lucreshia. He was also a proud member of the Brevard Worship Center, Malabar. Chuck will be remembered as a genuine man who deeply loved his family and country. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, 6 children, 1 sister, 10 grandchildren and numerous extended family members.Family will greet friends from 3 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23rd at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home in Melbourne with a Celebration of Chuck's Life to follow at 4 p.m. Interment with graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 26th at Bethpage Cemetery, Wacissa, FL.
