Life of Cesar Legan Barachina

On May 14, 2026, Cesar Barachina of Palm Bay, FL, peacefully passed away at the age of 83. Cesar was born in Calamba, Laguna, Philippines to Elpido Barachina and Leonila Legan Barachina and was the third born of seven children .

Cesar met the love of his life, Rufina Quilon at the Newport Jazz Festival in 1966. They later married in 1969 in New York City. They had three sons.

A United States Navy Veteran, brother, loving husband, father, Grandparent and protector of his family. A man with a golden heart, with his love, strength and wisdom continuing to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He was an avid fisherman, tennis playing , Filipino cooking, scotch pounding , trash talking, gun slinging son of a gun that was a great friend to all and lived and loved life on his own terms.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Rufina ,

Sons Noel and his wife Rhonda, Cesar and his wife Isolde and his youngest son Eric.

Grandchildren Cassondra, Zach, Autumn , Asia, and Audrey,

Siblings Carmelita, Amor, Elipido Jr., Danilo, along with many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition, Cesar was predeceased by his parents Elpido and Leonila and his brothers Eddie and Enrico.

The Family is planning a Celebration of Life ceremony in July.
