Carol Lynne Jones Huseman, 80, of Melbourne, FL, who was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed away unexpectedly after a long battle with COPD and went to heaven Dec 17, 2017. Carol was born in Platea, Pennsylvania, April 26, 1937 and is pre-deceased by her parents Charles and Nell Jones, and her 3 younger siblings, 2 brothers (Robert and Dennis) and a sister & spouse (Nancy & Julian "Bud" Lozowski).

As a young child, she and her family moved to St. Petersburg where her Father started, owned and operated a well-known local Donut shop (Jack Frost Donuts) on 4th Street South. It was working there with her family that she learned her strong work ethic.  She graduated from St. Pete High School in 1955. She met Donovan A. Huseman in 1957 and they were married on June 20th, 1958. Married for just shy of 60 years to the man who still refers to her as his girlfriend.

In search of a more lucrative life for them and their budding family, Carol and Don moved to Westland Michigan in 1959 and Don became a police officer and Carol gained employment with the City of Westland in their Finance Department.  They bought a home and raised their children in the Westland and NOVI areas of Michigan.   Retiring after eighteen years, Carol and Don moved to Palm Bay, FL and began their second life and careers.  They later moved to Melbourne and were well established in the community where she played Bells in the Bell Choir at First Christian Church of Melbourne where they are active members

Carol and Don were blessed to travel extensively and visited over 15 countries, had numerous motorcycle trips across the USA and were frequent cruise passengers.  Until health problems prevented, Don and Carol used to dance the night away. She loved camping in their RV, assembling puzzles, reading books, playing board & card games and watching HGTV, Jeopardy, & Wheel of Fortune. She enjoyed baking and cooking. She also liked making handmade Christmas tree decorations for her children. But she and Dons favorite time was always spent with their home filled with family where she was both cook and game master orchestrating the fun for all.

Carol is survived by her devoted husband Don, 5 children, Kelly (Ron) Smith of Lutz FL; Donovan Jr of Port Orange FL; Jodie (Burke  - deceased/2015) Douglas of Melbourne FL; Penny (John IV) Southwell of Haughton LA; Robert Huseman (Lea) of Lakeworth FL, and by Grand (Spouse and great grand) children include, Erica Martin; Sabrina, Ronald (Sara, 2), and Raymond (Cara, 2) Smith; Donovan III, David, Daniel (LaDonna, 4), and Grace Huseman; Adam (Bianca, 1) and Samantha Lanaghan; Shannon (2) and John V (2) Southwell; Jim (1), Johnathan (1), and Jenna (1) Huseman.  She loved deeply and counted all of her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren as apples in her eyes

A viewing for family and friends will be held at Davis-Seawinds Funeral Home (560 Montreal Ave.) Melbourne, FL 32935 on December 28th, 2017 at 10 AM with Funeral Services at 11 AM.

Interment will be at Canaveral National Cemetery in (5525 US-1) Mims FL 32754 at 2 PM.

At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, please donate in her name to the American Lung Association for help in fighting Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
