Carol Sue Ellis, age 77, passed peacefully at her home in Indian Harbor Beach, FL on May 1st 2017. With her son and husband present.
She was born in Roanoke, VA where she attended school and graduated from William Fleming High
School in 1957. She was employed by C&P Telephone Company. She then relocated to Melbourne, FL in 1967 where she attended Brevard Community College and obtained her Associate's Degree in 1998.
She then received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in the year 2000.
Carol returned to Roanoke, VA & attended Hollins University from 2003-2007 where she received her Masters of Arts and Liberal Studies (MALS) in 2007.
Carol's love for animals & research filled her spare time. Visiting nursing homes to share her pet therapy dogs. She became a fierce advocate on social media to fight animal abuse in every possible form.
Carol is preceded by her daughter, Vickie Anderson of Corvallis Oregon, & Brother Robert (Bobby) Ellis.
She is survived by her son, Steve Niemeyer of California, her granddaughter, Trinity Amaris Niemeyer, her sister Linda Watkins of Roanoke, VA and her husband, Paul Niemeyer of Indian Harbor Beach, Fl.
As well as the millions of lives she touched through social media over the years and remaining family.
Carol was persistent in her pursuit of knowledge and what she found, gave her peace.
