In 1923 a special human being was born to Nazario and Juana Cintron.
He did not get to know his mom because she died at childbirth.
He was raised by his loving grandparents Antonio and Abelina Cintron. He was born in Humacao and raised in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
At the age of 18, he joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged at the end of WWII.
Two years later he migrated to the United States where one day he went to the church his father pastored and there he met his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Felicita Velez.
This blessed marriage produced four children: Carmelo, Jr., RoseAnn, Rosario and Felicia.
He was grandfather to Jason, Darrell, Taicha, Tyrone, Jr. and Robinson.
He was a great-grandfather to Bryannah, Duncan, Skylah, Gabrielle, Jeremiah, Elijah and Malachai.
He touched the lives of many people with his smile and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening, growing vegetables and creating with his hands.
But most of all, he loved God and enjoyed being with his family.
Please consider a donation in Carmelo's memory to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
