Carlos E. Rivera, 79, departed this life peacefully and entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 15, 2014. He was born on November 2, 1934 in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico and was the beloved child of the late Martin and Georgina Cintron-Rivera. Carlos retired as a supervisor from the New York Housing Authority and moved to Brevard County in 2004. He will be remembered as talented musician whom was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be truly missed and forever in our hearts. Carlos leaves memories to be cherished by wife of 60 years, Natividad; children, Carl (Cookie) and Martin (Robin) Rivera, Rubin Rios; grandchildren, Joshua, Martin, Jr., Monique and Brandon Rivera; brother, Eddy (Mary) Rivera; sister, Violet (Frank) Conteras; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members. Family will greet friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19th at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home in Melbourne with funeral services to follow at 4 p.m.
