Carl “Flea” Telshaw

Carl “Flea” Telshaw, 88, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026, at William Childs Hospice House.

Carl was born in Youngstown, Ohio, on October 17, 1937, to Carl and Elizabeth Telshaw. He was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, Class of 1956.

Carl began his working career at Wean United, where he remained until he was laid off in 1975. He then began a new career with Wickliffe Concrete. In 1988, Carl moved to Florida, where he continued his career and eventually retired from CEMEX in 2000.

After retirement, Carl kept busy with various odd jobs and took great pride in caring for his vehicles. He loved keeping them clean and well maintained—he never had a dirty car.

Carl is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Carol; his three children, Jill Hacon of Austintown, Ohio; John Telshaw of Austintown, Ohio; and James (Tania) Telshaw of Ellsworth, Ohio; and his eight grandchildren, Heather Enyon, Jackie Haefke, Elizabeth Ross, Brandon Telshaw, Kayla Telshaw, Samantha Brown, Stevie Hacon, and Andrew Telshaw. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Theresa Hope, and his son-in-law, Jack Hacon.

Per Carl’s wishes, there will be no services.

Carl will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
