Calvin Joseph Corcoran was born on February 4, 1943, in Genoa, Nebraska to Leo and Louise (Bernhardt) Corcoran and passed away on March 20, 2022, in Rockledge, Florida at the age of 79 years, 1 month and 16 days.

Calvin "Cal" was raised on the family farm near Saint Edward, Nebraska. He attended a one-room rural schoolhouse and then went on to graduate from Saint Bonaventure High School in Columbus in 1961. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1966 and served in the Army National Guard.

Cal met and then married Karen Loretta Coleman on December 29, 1967 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska where he was living and working at the time. To this union three children were born. Cal and Karen started their lives together in Sidney, Nebraska and then moved to Sheridan, Wyoming while Cal worked in the electric power utilities industry. He then changed careers, moved back to Scottsbluff and started selling and later designing agricultural irrigation systems. His career took him from Scottsbluff to Columbus, Nebraska and then down to Florida where he has lived and worked since 1989. He loved his work and was involved in a large project right before he passed away.

Cal enjoyed getting involved in his community and served in the Jaycees, was a Webelo leader and a member of the Moose Club. He served on various condominium boards in Florida. He enjoyed boating, fishing, any kind of car racing, and driving his Corvette. He loved visiting with people and having guests stay with him. He especially loved spending time with his family and granchildren.

Calvin is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors cherishing Calvin's memory include his wife, Karen Coleman, Daughter Charissa and husband, Rob Hofpar, Valparaiso, Nebraska, Daughter Chandra Corcoran Roberts, Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, Son, Clay and wife, Joni (Renz) Corcoran, Winter Haven, Florida; grandchildren, Coleman and Jacey Hofpar, Valparaiso Nebraska, Mollie Roberts, Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, Keegan and Kayden Corcoran, Winter Haven, Florida; Brother, Paul Corcoran, Washington, Illinois, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of a life shared with Cal.
