Byron Ardine Moody, 85, of Rockledge, Florida, peacefully completed his earthly journey on June 24, 2026.

Born on March 2, 1941, in Lincoln, Maine, Byron (Ron) was the son of Ardine and Jessie Moody. He graduated from Mattanawcook Academy and went on to earn a degree in Finance from the University of Hartford.

Ron was married to the love of his life, Sandra (Skolfield) Moody, with whom he shared 48 years of devotion, companionship, and memories.

Throughout his distinguished career, Ron served as Town Manager for both Bradford, Maine, and Mexico, Maine. He later spent 25 years as a Sales Manager with Darling’s Auto Group in Bangor, Maine, where he was respected for his leadership, professionalism, and dedication. After relocating to Florida, Ron (Moose) worked for 20 years at Baytree National Golf Course in Melbourne, where he combined his love of people with his passion for the game of golf.

A proud veteran, Ron served his country honorably in the United States Army and the Maine Air National Guard, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. His commitment to service continued throughout his life as a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and the Elks and Eagles Clubs.

Ron will be remembered for his charming personality, strong work ethic, quick wit, and unwavering loyalty to his family and friends. He was an avid golfer who cherished every opportunity to be on the course, especially at Baytree Golf Club in Florida and with his golf family at Dexter Municipal Golf Course in Maine. He was also a lifelong fan of the New England Patriots, faithfully cheering them on through every season.

Some of Ron’s happiest moments were spent with family and friends at camp on Ripley Pond in Maine, where countless cherished memories were made through laughter, storytelling, card games and enjoying s’mores around the campfire. These gatherings became treasured family traditions and remain among the fondest memories shared by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

He is survived by his wife Sandra Moody, and his children Denise Friedl, Doreen Moody, Deborah Moody, Holly Pray, Lisa Allen, Kelly Estes, Daniel Pray, and Jennifer Smith, as well as many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever treasure his love, guidance, and presence in their lives.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m., at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory, 560 Montreal Avenue, Melbourne, Florida 32935.
