Bryan A. Smith , 87, was born in Miami, FL on 11/18/1931.  He was the oldest of three children born to Russell E. & Mary Louise Smith.  His brother, Richard Smith, died in 2013 and his sister, Patricia, lives in Tampa, FL.

Bryan graduated from Miami Jackson Senior High School in 1951.  While briefly attending Miami Edison High School, he met his "future bride", Geraldine Larsen.  Bryan and Gerry married on June 30, 1951 after graduating from high school.  They celebrated their 68th anniversary one week before his death.

Bryan joined the Florida National Guard when he was 16 and retired from the National Guard after serving 20 years.  After graduation, he worked for Pan American World Airlines for 40 years.

Bryan & Gerry were blessed with three children, son Bryan A. Smith, Jr., Victoria Maynard and Mark C. Smith.  The blessings continued with six grandchildren: Bryan A. Smith III, Halla Marie Smith, Billy & Peter Zimarakos, Alicia Maynard and Amber Smith.

When Pam American shut down in 1993, Bryan decided to go to Miami-Dade Jr. College and really enjoyed this new adventure.  Hurricane Andrew hit but we were fortunate in not suffering much damage and decided to go to a "quieter" location in Melbourne.  Bryan finished his college experience at BCC in Melbourne with an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration and Management.

Bryan enjoye reading, golf and watching sports—especially football (Miami Dolphins).  He also appreciated having more time with grandchildren and traveling.  His first love was in serving in the Lord's church.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2019, 2 pm, at Faith "Viera" Lutheran Church.  In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Faith "Viera Lutheran Church (to be used for their Mission funds).
