Brittany was born November 20, 1999 at Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson, Long Island, New York to parents Patrick and Darlene Gilligan.  She was a vivacious child full of animation and with a funny sense of humor. She loved to play with her sister when she could and enjoyed playing and making all her cousins laugh.  As she grew older, she developed a love for music and had an extremely passionate love for animals.  She rode both English and Western style horseback and won many competitions with her horse Outlaw.  She did prefer Western horseback although, and did very well with both styles of riding.  She attended Hawkins Path Elementary, Selden Middle and Newfield High Schools and received her GED.

She is preceded in death by her father, Patrick Michael Gilligan, sister Desiree Amanda Gilligan and grandparents Bernard and Ann Gilligan.

Brittany married Matthew Schneider on May 11, 2015 They were truly the love of each others lives.  She is survived by her 3 children Ayden (11), Liam (3) and Camden (Lucas) 6 mos., mother Darlene Jean Gilligan, grandparents Sal and Bridget Licari and many aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom she loved very much.
