Cantrell
February 25, 1930 – December 28, 2021
Bobbie Joe Crowe Cantrell of Melbourne passed peacefully in her sleep the morning of December 28, 2021. She was 91.
Born to Walter Johnson Crowe and Audrey Nation Crowe in Cartersville, GA on February 25, 1930, she graduated from Cartersville High School, and then worked for Atlanta Hospital Supply and Georgia Power and Light before moving to Eau Gallie, FL in 1957, after a number of moves as an Army Lt.'s wife.
Bobbie's career continued as Assistant City Clerk for the City of Eau Gallie, FL before the merger with the City of Melbourne. Her love for flowers led her to become a floral designer, assisting with the opening of Petals Florist, where she was senior designer until her retirement at age 70.
A long-time member of Eau Gallie First Baptist Church, Bobbie was involved in the Hospitality, Seafarer's, and nursing home visitation teams for years. She stayed active in the BYKOTA (Be Ye Kind One To Another) Sunday School Class, of which she was an original member, until her passing.
Bobbie's love for family was exemplified in her care for her youngest son, Clifford Mitchell (Mitch) Cantrell from birth until his death in 2016 at age 47. She was also preceded in death by her parents, son Claude Marshall Cantrell Jr., US Navy, and brother Walter Earl Crowe of Cartersville, GA.
She is survived by her daughter, Marcetta Cantrell Hunt Musser (husband Curtis), grandsons Timothy L. Hunt (wife Ginger) of Cleveland, GA and Stephen M. Hunt (wife Catherine) of Williamsburg, VA, and granddaughter Elisabeth Hunt Adamson (husband Nathan) of LaGrange, GA, great grandsons Lawson Lynd of Auburn, AL, Caleb Lynd and Luke Adamson of LaGrange, GA, Christopher and Joshua Hunt of Williamsburg, VA, Holden and Bradford Hunt of Cleveland, GA, sister-in-law Annie Jones Crowe, nephew Michael Earl Crowe and niece Cynthia Crowe Wellman (husband Les) all of Cartersville, GA, many grand nieces and nephews, and her dearly loved "adopted" daughter, Mary Caldwell Miller (husband Brian) of Palm Bay.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening, January 3, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 at Davis-Seawinds Funeral Home, followed by funeral services Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Eau Gallie First Baptist Church, 1501 W.
