Beverly Smith Arruda, born July 2, 1930 in Belfast, Maine to the late Lloyd and Katrina (Kelley) Smith has passed on July 25, 2013. She moved to Mt. Dora, FL in 1956, married John Arruda who passed away in April 1993. She volunteered and worked at Meadowlane Elementary School in Melbourne and retired from Pitney Bowes (formerly Dictaphone) of Melbourne. Beverly had a love for teaching and tutored numerous children throughout her years. Beverly touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained her trademark sense of humour all the way to the end. She leaves memories to be cherished by her two sons, Jay Anthony and William Lloyd; daughter-in-law, Kathleen; three grandchildren, Whitney, Justin, and Allison Arruda, all of Melbourne; three sisters, Norma Warburton, Jeanne French, and Carolyn Harmon; and her brother, Robert (Bob) Smith of Palm Bay. The extended relatives include several nieces and nephews and their families. Family will greet friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home, 560 Montreal Ave., Melbourne, FL with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial arrangements are private.
