Obituary

Dear Friends and Family,

On November 6th, 2013 our dear mother, Betty Gean Robertson McBride, went to heaven to be with Jesus, her husband Jack Edwin McBride, her parents, James Wilton Robertson & Claudia Witherspoon Robertson, and her baby brother, Jack Robertson. She suffered for many years with dementia which was very hard for us to witness as well as for her to experience. We celebrate her life and are blessed to know that she is home in heaven at peace where she can be the beautiful, vivacious woman she had always been. Family, friends, and Mom's dedicated caregivers all have wonderful memories of her, and we all have experienced how her smile and laugh could light up a room. Mom was a Duplicate Bridge Silver Life Master, a superb southern cook, and a decorator with flair. Mom's family will deeply miss her unconditional love, attention, and her heart filled with kindness.

Mom is survived by her sister, Billie Finklea, and brothers, Tommy Robertson and J.W. Robertson. Daughter Claudia Crane, and her husband George, and Mom's grandson Sean Crane. Daughter Geanie Burch, and her husband Larry. Mom's granddaughters Noelle Burch Brassie, her husband Joel, and children Chase and Coco. Granddaughter Jaclyn Burch Snodgress and her husband Alex.

A tree will be planted in her honor at Gleason Park in Melbourne, Florida, and she will be laid to rest in Mount Hope Cemetery & Mausoleum in Florence, South Carolina. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly accepted by Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice, 8060 Spyglass Hill Road, Viera, Florida 32940.

Mom we will always need you! You will be in our hearts forever, and the sense that you will now be with us constantly in spirit will get us through whatever life brings us!
