Obituary for Betty L Blevins

Betty L. Blevins, 93, of Melbourne, FL passed away peacefully May 7, 2015 at the William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, FL.

Born May 23, 1921, she was the daughter of the late J. Herman and Lelia Landwehr of Luckey, OH. She was a Navy wife traveling extensively during assignments overseas and stateside. They lived in Rockville, MD for many years, moving to FL in 1974. She played clarinet in the Melbourne Municipal Band for over 30 years, wrote poetry, and loved working and volunteering with the Brevard Alzheimer's Foundation and the Sunflower House. She was a member of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Cocoa Beach, FL. She had been a resident of Grand Villa, and most recently Life Care Center of Melbourne.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Lloyd "Blev" Blevins; daughter, Linda Edwards Cooper; brother, Glen Landwehr, and her partner of many years, Anton Bebek.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna (Ron) Habich of Indian Harbour Beach, FL and Janis (Bill) Wertman of Martinsburg, WV; grandchildren, Dayna Edwards, Troy Edwards, Bill Habich, Ryan (Amanda) Habich, Sarah (Peter) Love, and Jonathan (Ashley) Wertman; great-grandchildren, Shawn Lackey, Devin and Colton Edwards, Matthew, Mallory and Mark Habich, and William Love. She also loved as her own, Anton's daughter, Diana (Miren) Ivankovic and their children, Sven, Andre, Nina and Laura.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 525 Minutemen Causeway, Cocoa Beach, Fl. 32931.
