Bettie Jean Pomeroy, 69, of Melbourne, Florida passed away August 23, 2015 at her home.

She was born March 24, 1946 in Green Cove Springs, Florida and had been a long time resident of Melbourne.

The matriarch of her family, she was known to most as Aunt B because she treated everyone, family and friends alike, as though they were her kin. Every year she would organize the annual family reunion, which will continue to be held in her honor. Bettie was also an avid bowler and served as the former President of the Brevard Youth Bowling Association.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Angel and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Pomeroy in 2006; mother, Easter Smith; brother, Foy Smith and her sister, Annie Blair.

A memorial service will be held 2 pm, Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home in Melbourne.
