Beryl Harrigan, 93, of Melbourne, Florida died Thursday December 29, 2022 with her family by her side.

Beryl was born to the late James and Mildred Cafferty on November 25, 1929 in Bristol, CT. A graduate of Bristol High and New Britain Teachers College, she worked as an elementary teacher in Meriden and Bristol for 34 years.

Married to the late Richard Harrigan in January 1953, Beryl made her home on Blakeslee St until moving to Florida in 2015. She was a dedicated parishioner at both St Joseph and St Matthews Catholic Churches during those years, and her faith was a guiding light in her life. Those who knew her probably have a "ducky" sweater, a Christmas stocking, or a knit hat or scarf courtesy of her talent and generosity.

Beryl was predeceased by her twin, Bev Dewyea of Eastham, MA and is survived by her sister, Karen Tessman of Plainville. Additionally, she is survived by her two children Tom (Sue) Harrigan of Apex, North Carolina and Jim (Meg) of Melbourne Florida. She also leaves six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a future date at the convenience of the family in Bristol.
