Bernie Gott of Indialantic passed away on June 27th, 2024, at the age of 93. An avid fisherman until recent years, he and his second wife Nancy retired to Florida from Cincinnati, Ohio in 2001 to enjoy the great weather and fishing on the Space Coast. He missed Nancy deeply after her passing in 2015.

He volunteered with the Oyster Mat program at the Brevard Zoo, and at the Archie Carr Wildlife refuge. He was known to play pinochle, and hosted poker nights with his friends. The Town of Indialantic benefited from his years of volunteering on their Halloween Festival, and terms on their Parks, Recreation and Beautification Committee.

Mourning his loss are children Janice Gott, Randy Gott, Cindy Gott Tunney, and Kevin French, and Grandchildren Joshua French, Lani French Lowe, Nathan Tunney, Shannon Tunney, Evan Tunney, Carson Gott, Brycen Gott and Crystal Gott, as well as five great-grandchildren.
