Beatrice Colosa, 94, departed this life peacefully and graciously joined our Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 13, 2014. Born on July 9, 1919 in Manhattan, NY, she was the beloved daughter of the late John and Josephine Gambino - Tortorici. For the majority of her working career she was a seamstress and later retired to the beautiful sunshine state in the 1980's. Beatrice will be remembered as devout Catholic that was exceptionally generous and sincere. Even though Beatrice never had any children she always treated her nieces and nephews as such. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts. She leaves memories to be cherished by her nephews, Alfred and Anthony (Elann) Quattrone and her niece, Josephine Alio; great nieces and nephews and extended family members. Beatrice was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore Colosa on February 12, 1994. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne. Interment will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Coram, NY at a later date.
