Obituary

Born August 2nd 1928, passed on to Eternal Peace April 8th, 2012 Easter Sunday. Barbara was born in Stamford CT into the loving home of Polish immigrant parents
Thomas and Sophie Malanowski. The 9th of 14 siblings, Barbara attended Holy Name of Jesus parochial school K-8 and graduated Stamford High School in 1944. After World War II ended, Barbara met and became quite enamored with a handsome Navy Sailor named Robert James Pollock. Their courtship resulted in marriage and the blessed union was celebrated on April 6th 1946. The couple settled in Stamford CT and began a family of their own, all the while instilling a strong Catholic faith and parochial upbringing. In 1960 the family relocated to Melbourne FL where their adventure continued. Barbara flourished as a Mother, Homemaker and Loving and Attentive Wife. Several of her Brothers and Sisters along with their families followed her to Florida where they all spent countless weekends, Holidays,
Birthdays and Weddings celebrating life. Left behind to mourn her loss but to celebrate her special life and honor her memories are her children, daughter: Sandra Jean and her husband Allen Henry of Indialantic FL. Sons: Robert James Pollock and his daughter Alycia Jean of Merritt Island FL. Gary Richard, wife Sheila and their children
Adam Richard and Carly Faye of Tampa FL. James Thomas of Melbourne FL, Jeffrey Jon of Melbourne, FL and his daughter, Madison Mary. Also surviving Barbara is Brother Thaddeus F. Malanowski and Sister Joan Galesky. Services are as follows: Wake at Davis Seawinds Chapel Wednesday April 11th 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Ascension Catholic Church, Thursday, April 12th at 11:00 am. Services conducted by her brother, Monsignor Thaddeus F. Malanowski. Entombment to follow immediately afterwards at Florida Memorial Gardens located on US1 in Rockledge, FL.
