B. Irene Elam, 91, went to be with the lord on Sunday, December 25, 2011. Irene was born on October 19, 1920 in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Tilford Allen and Sarah Gill.

She relocated to Brevard County in 1958 to be closer to her family. Irene was a proud member of the Cornerstone Church of God in Melbourne, FL where she was a Sunday school teacher and sung in the choir for many years. Irene enjoyed being a seamstress and is well know for the beautiful quilts she would make.

Irene was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother. She will be truly missed.

She leaves behind her loving children, Dale (Muriel) Elam, Bobby (Geraldine) Elam, Judy Richardson, Myrna Elam and Pam (David) Spears; brothers, Milford, Paul, Arthur, Donald and Floyd Allen; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 5 adoring great-great grandchildren.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James Robert Elam.

Family will receive friends from 10AM-12PM on Friday, December 30, 2011 at the Cornerstone Church of God in Melbourne with funeral services following at 12PM. Interment will take place at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge.
