Aubrey Jean Beahan, 85, of Melbourne, went to heaven on July 2, 2018. "Jeannie" was born, McGehee, Arkansas on April 9, 1933. She graduated from Desha Central High School in Rohwer, Arkansas. She then moved to Tampa and received her Stenographers Certificate from Tampa College and went to work for the American Cancer Society. Jeannie met her husband Joe of 62 years at First Baptist of Tampa and they were married there in 1955.
Jeannie was a social worker for Brevard County in the early 1960's. In 1971, she and Joe opened Beahan's Little Red School House on Aurora Rd. Here she lived her passion as a preschool educator. That building still stands today and holds special memories for her children.
Jeannie was an active member of Eau Gallie First since 1984 and was involved in the Nursery and Preschool Ministries. Jeannie was preceded in death by her husband Joe Beahan. She is survived by her children Cindy Ursell (Ken), Chuck Beahan (Wendi) and six grandchildren.
Services will be held at Eau Gallie First in Melbourne on Saturday, July 14th at 11:00AM.
