Anthony VanMeeteren, age 100, passed away November 29, 2018.  He was born March 27, 1918 in Holland and immigrated to America with his family in 1930.  On May 2, 1941 he married Ruth Statham in New Jersey.  Together they had 3 children.  Anthony served in the Army during World War II during 1944-1946.  Anthony's lifelong career was a carpenter.  He built homes in New Jersey as well as Fort Lauderdale and Brevard County. He enjoyed being outside all his life especially in the mountains in his North Carolina summer home he built. In his retirement he worked with his tools in his garage as well as in the yard.  He is survived by his wife of 77 years, Ruth; son, Robert; daughter, Joyce Tuer (John). Anthony was preceded in death by his son James (Gail) in 2005.  He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
