Anthony Francis Maliszewski

Anthony Francis Maliszewski passed away peacefully of natural causes at age 94 in Gainesville

Florida on July 10, 2020.

Tony was born September 5, 1925 to parents Jan and Bertha Maliszewski.

He had two older brothers Stanley and Frank. He was married to Helene Getrige, who passed away

in 1987. Tony is survived by four children, Joseph, Steve, Patricia and Antonette.

Tony served

in the US Navy during World War II on a sub chaser. After the war, he began his 30-year career

with the US Post Office in New Jersey, transferring to Eau Gallie Florida in 1959 where he

retired as Vice Postmaster of the Melbourne Florida Post Office.

Tony was a wonderful family

man who enjoyed playing cards and bowling. He also coached little league baseball and midget

league football. He was an active member of Ascension Catholic Church and a member of the Knights

of Columbus.

Above all else, Tony loved his family and took an active roll in the lives of his

children and grandchildren alike. He will be sorely missed by many friends as well.

It is

certain that he has heard the words, "Well done, my faithful servant."

Family will receive friends on Saturday July 18, 2020 from 11 am-12 noon followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon at Ascension Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Fountainhead Memorial Park, Palm Bay, FL
