Annette O'Connell of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025.

She was born in New York, NY, and lived in Far Rockaway until her family moved to Kings Park, NY.

Annette and her husband, Bill, were married for 62 years until his passing in 2018. They settled in Commack, NY, where they raised five children: Pattianne, Billy, Raymond, Erin (d. 1994), and Kelly.

Annette and Bill created a home filled with love, laughter, and adventure. The O'Connell house was a gathering place where neighborhood children were always welcome. Family dinners were a nightly tradition, Sundays meant ice cream sundaes, and Christmas was always a joy. Summers were spent splashing in the backyard pool, filling the air with laughter and memories.

Annette was predeceased by her husband, Bill O'Connell; her parents, Anne and Ray Jacobs; her brothers, Raymond and Ronnie Jacobs; her sister, AnneMarie; her daughter, Erin, aged 27; and her grandson, "Little Billy" Story, aged 28. Our mother longed for those who left before her — at last, they are all together again.

She is survived by her children: Pattianne, Billy, Raymond, and Kelly; her beloved grandchildren, Jade O'Connell, Brittney Holladay, and Sean Lyons; and her great-grandchildren, Madison, Gabriella, Brianna, and Logan Jr. She is also survived by her sister, Kathy Sheridan, and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass and celebration of life will be held in Staunton, VA, at a later date.
