Ann Anthes, 91, of Indialantic, FL died Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at home with family by her side.

She was born to the late Dr. John and Audrey McCaughan on Jan. 3, 1932 in Rochester, MN. Ann graduated from Northwestern University, IL then went on to receive her Master's degree from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. She married the late William Anthes in 1970 and they lived together with their blended family in Fairfield, CT before relocating to Indialantic, FL in 1976 where they lived happily the rest of their lives.

Ann was a lifelong educator from her 20's through her early 80's. She was passionate about making a difference in the lives of her students and finally retired as an adjunct professor from the Florida Institute of Technology.

Ann was an avid traveler; first as a teenager visiting many countries around the world with her Aunt Jody who she loved dearly. Then she and Bill spent much of their time traveling to places like Greece, Spain, Italy and France (Paris – a most treasured experience), to name a few, meeting so many new people along the way, most of whom remained good friends the rest of their lives.

Ann is survived by her children Mark Lohrs; Jody Lohrs; Julie and Steve St. Pierre; Charles Lohrs; Leigh Anthes and Steve Lenches; and her stepchildren Jay Anthes; and Kathy Burnette. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jessie Lohrs; Sean Braxton; Heather Braxton; Kali Potvin; Scout Lohrs; Tate Lohrs; Alex Anthes-Lenches; and her great-grand children.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:30 PM followed by a Celebration of Ann's Life on Thursday, August 17th at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home.
