Al Castaldi, 82, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2011. Born on May 16, 1929, in Flushing, NY, he grew up in Queens. Al served in the Air Force from 1948 to 1952 and graduated from the University of Richmond. Al worked for IBM as a systems analyst for over 30 years, a job he loved. After he retired he continued to work as a consultant internationally; he lived in the Netherlands, Milan, Mexico City, and the U.S. Al was a fountain of sports information and an avid Yankees fan. He is survived by: sister, Camille Blok, Old Saybrook, CT; children: Leslie, Satellite Beach; Pam, Albuquerque; William (Brenda), Oviedo; David (Jodi), Deltona; and Clint, the Netherlands, and grandchildren: Emily Samide; Max Gangestad; and DJ Castaldi. We will miss him very much. Visitation at 1:00, service at 2:00, Wed. May 25, Davis-Seawinds, 560 Montreal Ave., Melbourne.
