Albert John Tanhauser, 85, departed this life on Saturday, August 24, 2013. Born on March 21, 1928 in Halsenberg, Sweden, Al was the child of the late John and Elsa Lycell-Tanhauser. He honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Al received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and retired the U.S. Federal Government. He was a proud member of the Elks and Moose lodges. He enjoyed ballroom dancing, photography and fishing. He leaves memories to be cherished by his beloved wife of 60 years, Marie; children, Carol Ann Aronowitz (Robert), Susan Tanhauser Munn (Terence), Mark Alan Tanhauser (Suzy) and Brian John Tanhauser; grandchildren, Stacey, Kelly, Erin and Justin; and great grandchild, Sara Louise. The family will celebrate his life privately.
